Key Responsibilities

Accounting and Transaction Support
- Assisting in recording financial transactions in accounting systems.
- Supporting the coding and filing of transaction documents.
- Maintaining accurate and updated cashbooks.
- Assisting with journal entry preparation and posting.
Payments Processing Support
- Preparing payment vouchers and verifying supporting documents.
- Supporting staff payment processes, including advances, imprests, and reimbursements.
- Assisting with statutory payment documentation and schedules.
Advances and Imprest Management
- Updating and maintaining staff advances and imprest records.
- Following up on outstanding imprest retirements.
- Reporting overdue balances to the Finance Officer.
Reconciliation Support
- Assisting with monthly bank reconciliations.
- Supporting reconciliation of mobile money transactions.
- Identifying and reporting discrepancies during reconciliation processes.
Filing and Record Management
- Organizing physical and digital financial records.
- Ensuring documents are complete, properly labeled, and easily accessible.
- Supporting audit readiness through effective record keeping.
Month-End Finance Activities
- Assisting with month-end financial processes.
- Supporting preparation of imprest aging reports.
- Organizing reconciliation files and supporting schedules.
Fixed Assets Management
- Assisting in updating the fixed asset register.
- Supporting asset verification exercises.

General Department Support
- Providing administrative assistance to the finance team.
- Following up on outstanding financial documents with other departments.

Required Qualifications
Applicants should meet the following requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field.
