BMG Investment is inviting applications from qualified and experienced Flatbed Truck Drivers to join its team in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. A total of 7 positions are available for candidates with relevant heavy vehicle driving experience, particularly in trailer, flatbed and container transportation.
The opportunity is suitable for experienced truck drivers who have the required driving licence, professional driving training and practical experience handling heavy vehicles and shipping containers.

Flatbed Truck Driver Requirements
Applicants should meet the following requirements:
- Possess a valid driving licence for the appropriate class of heavy vehicle.
- Have a valid Driving Certificate from a recognized driving college or institution.
- Have a minimum of 3 years’ proven experience as a heavy truck or trailer driver.
- Proven experience in container transportation is highly preferred.
- Experience driving flatbed, trailer or container trucks.
- Good knowledge of road safety, traffic regulations and basic vehicle inspection.
- Ability to safely manoeuvre and secure containers during transportation.
- Good communication skills, discipline and reliability.
Roles and Responsibilities
Successful candidates will be responsible for safely transporting shipping containers and ensuring that vehicles and cargo are handled according to safety requirements. Key duties include:
- Safely operate flatbed and trailer trucks for the transportation of shipping containers.
- Transport 20FT, 40FT and 40FT High Cube containers between designated locations.
- Ensure containers are properly positioned and securely fastened before transportation.
- Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Comply with traffic laws, road safety requirements and company HSE procedures.
- Maintain accurate trip, delivery, fuel and vehicle records.
- Report vehicle defects, accidents, breakdowns and other incidents immediately.
- Ensure timely and safe delivery of containers.
