The internship opportunity is based at ESAMI Headquarters in Arusha, Tanzania, and provides graduates with practical exposure to research, management consultancy, data analysis, project management and related professional activities.

The Directorate of Research and Management Consultancy brings together researchers, academics, policymakers and industry professionals through research, consultancy, public lectures, webinars, workshops and other professional programmes.The Graduate Interns will gain hands-on experience supporting research and consultancy activities while working with experienced researchers and consultants.
Successful candidates will be expected to work in a demanding and time-sensitive environment, demonstrate strong analytical abilities and contribute to research and consultancy assignments.
Duties and Responsibilities
The Graduate Interns will be responsible for supporting the Directorate in areas including:
- Identifying potential consultancy assignments and research opportunities.
- Documenting, organizing and updating ESAMI’s consultancy and research experience.
- Managing databases for consultants and researchers.
- Supporting preliminary matching of consultants and researchers to potential assignments.
- Managing the pipeline of research and consultancy assignments.
- Preparing analytics-based reports for the Directorate.
- Reviewing CVs of consultants, faculty and researchers and aligning them with compliance requirements.
- Managing the Directorate’s statistical database.
- Providing administrative support to researchers, consultants, post-doctoral fellows and administrators.
- Assisting in preparing research and consultancy reports, proposals and presentations.
- Managing databases for ongoing projects and reporting on project status.
- Supporting the planning and coordination of workshops, webinars, public lectures, research colloquia and other events.
- Performing general administrative duties to support the smooth operation of the Directorate.
- Performing any other duties assigned by the Directorate.

Academic Qualifications
Applicants should meet the following requirements:
- A Master’s degree with a minimum GPA of 3.0 or equivalent in Business Administration, Data Science, Research or a related field.
- A Bachelor’s Degree (Honours) in Business Administration, Management, Economics, Commerce, Data Science, Computer Science or a related field.
- For the Bachelor’s degree, only candidates with First Class or Upper Second Class Honours will be considered.
- Membership of a relevant professional body, in good standing.
- At least one year of working experience.
- Previous internship or volunteer experience in a consultancy firm, research institution or project management environment will be an added advantage.
