The Foundation For Tomorrow (TFFT) is seeking a qualified and experienced professional to fill the position of Entrepreneurship Incubator Program Director in Arusha, Tanzania

TFFT is establishing an Entrepreneurship Incubator to support entrepreneurs, nonprofit founders, social enterprises and businesses that create employment opportunities in the Arusha region.

The Program Director will be responsible for building and leading the incubator, supporting participants through training and coaching, developing partnerships, connecting entrepreneurs with funding and markets, and ensuring the program achieves measurable results.

The program will admit approximately 15–20 participants per cohort, who will remain connected to the incubator for 18 months.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

  • Design and develop the entrepreneurship incubator program and curriculum.
  • Recruit and select participants.
  • Train, mentor and coach entrepreneurs.
  • Build relationships with mentors, businesses, financial institutions, government agencies and other partners.
  • Help participants access funding, customers and markets.
  • Support entrepreneurs with business registration and regulatory compliance.
  • Help participants develop financial records, budgets and sustainable business models.
  • Organize the program’s Launch Day and other activities.
  • Develop and maintain an alumni network.
  • Manage the program budget and monitor expenditure.
  • Track and report program outcomes, including businesses launched, jobs created and funding secured.
  • Ensure participant safety, confidentiality and proper management of conflicts of interest.
  • Work with TFFT’s development team on grants, donor reports and fundraising.

Qualifications and Requirements

Applicants should have:

  • At least 5 years of experience in entrepreneurship, startups, business development, social enterprise or nonprofit leadership.
  • At least 2 years of practical operational experience involving money, people or program delivery.
  • Experience founding, building or leading a company, nonprofit or social enterprise.
  • Experience facilitating training, workshops or programs for adults.
  • Experience mentoring or coaching individuals.
  • Strong knowledge of financial management, including budgeting, cash flow and pricing.
  • Experience registering or operating a legally compliant organization in Tanzania.
  • Excellent written and spoken English and Swahili.
  • Knowledge of Tanzania’s regulatory environment, including BRELA, TRA and NGO Board requirements.
  • Willingness to live in or relocate to the Arusha region.
  • Willingness to undergo safeguarding, reference and criminal record checks.

Experience with incubators, accelerators, entrepreneurship programs, East African businesses, funding institutions and market linkages will be an added advantage.
