About Papa Bridge Kilema VTC

Papa Bridge Kilema Parish Vocational Training Centre is a NACTVET-registered vocational training centre located in Kilema, Moshi, Kilimanjaro Region.

The Centre was established through Austria–Tanzania collaboration and is owned by the Catholic Diocese of Moshi. It provides theoretical and practical training to disadvantaged young people in various vocational trades.

Training areas include:

  • Carpentry
  • Joinery
  • Welding and metal fabrication
  • Electrical installation
  • Motor vehicle mechanics
  • Driving

  • Masonry
  • Tailoring
  • Agriculture and animal husbandry

Location: Kilema, Moshi, Kilimanjaro, Tanzania

Key Responsibilities

The College Principal will report to the Papa Bridge VTC Board of Directors through the College Director and will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and ensuring effective management of the Centre.

Key responsibilities include:

Academic and Administrative Leadership

  • Oversee academic and administrative operations of the Centre.
  • Ensure effective implementation of institutional programmes and activities.
  • Promote quality vocational training and institutional growth.

Resource Management

  • Manage the sourcing and sustainability of financial and non-financial resources required to operate the Centre.
  • Support effective utilization of institutional resources.
  • Identify opportunities that can strengthen the Centre’s long-term sustainability.

Staff and Student Management

  • Lead and manage staff and students.
  • Promote a productive, professional, and supportive institutional environment.
  • Support staff performance and development.

Risk and Stakeholder Management

  • Oversee and manage institutional risks.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Ensure that institutional activities are managed professionally and responsibly.

Qualifications

Applicants should possess:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
  • At least five (5) years of relevant experience in academic leadership or institutional management.
  • Proven experience in technical or vocational education.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism.
  • Computer proficiency.

Added Advantage

A Master’s Degree in Engineering, Education, or Management will be an added advantage.
