About LATRA Consumer Consultative Council (LATRA CCC)

The Council is an independent statutory body mandated to represent and protect the interests of consumers of regulated land transport services.

The Minister responsible for Transport appoints the Chairperson and Board Members from among qualified individuals in accordance with the provisions of the Act.

Functions of the Board

Successful appointees will participate in carrying out the Council’s responsibilities, including:

  • Receiving and disseminating information on issues affecting consumers of regulated transport services.
  • Establishing regional and sector consumer committees and consulting with them.

  • Establishing local consumer committees where necessary.
