Tanzania, has officially announced the names of successful contract teachers selected to teach Business Studies in public secondary schools across Tanzania. The recruitment is part of a special initiative aimed at strengthening the teaching and learning of Business Studies in schools with the greatest teacher shortages. About the Recruitment Program
Earlier, TAMISEMI advertised 400 contract teaching positions for qualified Business Studies teachers. The vacancies targeted public secondary schools experiencing a high demand for teachers in selected regions across the country.
The initiative is implemented through the Teaching and Learning Improvement Project for Business Studies, which is supported by Educate! Tanzania.
The project aligns with the Education and Training Policy of 2014 (2023 Edition) and the revised secondary education curriculum, which places greater emphasis on entrepreneurship education and practical business knowledge for students.

The selected teachers have been assigned to secondary schools in the following regions:
- Arusha
- Kilimanjaro
- Manyara
- Simiyu
- Kagera
- Geita
- Tabora
- Dodoma
- Morogoro
- Pwani
- Dar es Salaam
These regions were identified as having significant shortages of Business Studies teachers.
Reporting Dates
All successful applicants who have been allocated schools are required to report to their respective Local Government Authorities (Councils) to complete employment and contract documentation.

- Deadline: 6 August 2026
Successful candidates are advised to report within the specified period. Failure to report before the deadline may result in the position being offered to another qualified applicant.
