About UDA Rapid Transit Plc (UDART)
UDA Rapid Transit Plc (UDART) is a company incorporated in the United Republic of Tanzania under the Companies Act, Cap. 212 R.E. 2019 on 19 December 2014. The company serves as the Interim Bus Operator for Phase I of the Dar es Salaam Bus Rapid Transit (DART) System, providing safe, reliable, and efficient public transport services to residents of Dar es Salaam.

Available Vacancies
UDART invites applications from suitably qualified and competent Tanzanian citizens for the following positions:
1. Internal Auditor II (1 Post)
Salary Scale: UDARTSS 13
Qualifications
Applicants must possess:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Diploma in Auditing, Accountancy, Finance, Commerce, or Business Administration majoring in Accountancy or Finance, or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
- CPA (T), ACCA, or another professional accounting qualification recognized by the National Board of Accountants and Auditors (NBAA).
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse preliminary internal audit reports and recommendations.
- Supervise preparation of the annual internal audit plan.
- Monitor and evaluate internal control systems, risk management, and corporate governance processes.
- Conduct audits of development projects.
- Coordinate normal audits, special audits, technical audits, and investigations.
- Prepare internal audit reports.
- Review management responses and verify implementation of audit recommendations.
- Follow up on implementation of audit recommendations.
- Perform other related duties assigned by the immediate supervisor.
2. Senior Internal Auditor I (1 Post)
Salary Scale: UDARTSS 16
Qualifications
Applicants should possess:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Diploma in Auditing, Accounts, Finance, Commerce, or Business Administration majoring in Accountancy or Finance, or an equivalent qualification.
- CPA (T), ACCA, or another professional qualification recognized by NBAA.
- At least 10 years of relevant working experience in a similar position.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct special audit investigations.
- Verify the authenticity of internal financial statements.
- Advise management on improving company performance.
- Conduct value-for-money audits for institutional assets and development projects.
- Recommend improvements to internal control systems.
- Provide audit guidance to management.
- Perform other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor.
3. Senior Risk Officer II (1 Post)
Salary Scale: UDARTSS 14
Qualifications
Applicants must have:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Diploma in Risk Management, Insurance, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Statistics, or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
- At least 7 years of relevant experience in risk management, compliance, internal control, or related fields.
- Professional qualifications in Risk Management, Internal Audit, or Governance will be an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, assess, and monitor operational, financial, strategic, compliance, and safety risks.
- Develop and maintain the company’s Risk Register.
- Conduct periodic risk assessments covering bus operations, depots, terminals, ticketing systems, revenue collection, fleet management, and supporting functions.
- Monitor compliance with risk management policies and applicable regulations.
- Prepare risk reports and present recommendations to management.
- Promote risk awareness throughout the organization.
- Support implementation of business continuity and emergency response plans.
- Coordinate risk management activities with internal and external stakeholders.
- Monitor implementation of corrective actions.
- Perform other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor.
