Job Overview
The Finance Generalist Intern Apprentice will support various financial operations within the organization, including customer account management, credit control, financial reconciliations, and reporting activities. The successful candidate will work closely with finance, sales, and legal teams to ensure smooth financial processes and effective customer account management.
Key Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
- Preparing and distributing Customer Statements of Account (Aging Reports), including through the GetPaid application.
- Organizing and participating in credit management (debtor review) meetings with the Sales team and other stakeholders.
- Supporting customer collection strategies to improve accounts receivable performance.
- Conducting regular follow-ups on outstanding customer accounts.
- Preparing collection reports.
- Identifying customers requiring legal action and assisting with demand notices.
- Coordinating with the General Manager, Chief Financial Officer, and Legal Counsel on collection matters.
- Supporting Delivery Order (DO) and Bill of Lading release processes through financial reviews.
- Reviewing customer credit applications and monitoring approval processes.
- Performing quarterly reconciliations between container deposits and containers currently in use.
- Monitoring and resolving customer disputes.
- Investigating unidentified or unapplied customer transactions.
- Matching and clearing outstanding financial items.
- Assessing customer requests related to container revolving deposit contracts, guarantees, and creditworthiness.
- Monitoring container deposit refund requests.
- Reconciling container deposit refunds and related financial transactions.
- Maintaining professional communication with customers and internal departments.
- Performing any other duties assigned by the employer.
Qualifications and Skills
