Job Purpose
The Channel Development Officer will support the expansion, management, and performance of the HaloPesa agent and super-agent network within the assigned branch area. The role focuses on driving transaction growth, improving agent productivity, and supporting the achievement of the company’s business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Agent and Super-Agent Network Development
The successful candidate will:
- Recruit and onboard new agents and super-agents within the assigned branch territory.
- Ensure all agents are properly registered, activated, and operational in the system.
- Manage agent and super-agent recruitment while ensuring proper activation and continuous monitoring.
- Provide ongoing support to the agent network to improve operational efficiency.
- Organize monthly performance review meetings with agents and partners.
- Guide and support agents to improve productivity and increase transaction volumes.
- Ensure agents maintain sufficient float balances to support daily operations.
Market Intelligence and Business Development
Responsibilities include:
- Assess agent service quality and brand visibility in the market.
- Identify opportunities for partnerships and collaborations to improve channel performance.
- Monitor market trends and recommend initiatives that support business growth.
Coordination and Reporting
The Channel Development Officer will also:
- Work closely with branch teams and regional management to implement channel development strategies.
- Support the implementation of planned field development activities.
- Prepare and submit reports on agent network performance and field activities.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Performance will be measured based on:
- Ensuring agents maintain a minimum float balance required for daily operations.
- Achieving an average recruitment target of approximately 50 new agents per month (subject to branch targets).
- Improving agent productivity, transaction volumes, and channel visibility within the assigned branch.
Qualifications and Experience
Applicants should have:
- A minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in sales, channel development, or mobile financial services.
- Experience working with agent network management will be an added advantage.
