Position: Relationship Manager – Chinese Desk
Job Summary
The Relationship Manager – Chinese Desk will be responsible for managing relationships with Chinese-speaking corporate clients, identifying new business opportunities, growing lending and deposit portfolios, achieving revenue targets, and ensuring compliance with the bank’s credit, risk management, and regulatory requirements.
The successful candidate should be able to communicate effectively in Mandarin and build long-term relationships with corporate customers.
Key Responsibilities
The selected candidate will:
- Manage and strengthen relationships with corporate clients.
- Acquire new customers and expand the bank’s lending and deposit portfolios.
- Promote and cross-sell the bank’s products and financial services.
- Achieve loan, deposit, Net Interest Income (NII), and fee income targets.
- Monitor portfolio performance and maintain high credit quality.
- Support credit application preparation and documentation processes.
- Ensure compliance with Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Know Your Customer (KYC), and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct customer visits and collateral inspections where necessary.
Qualifications and Requirements
Applicants should meet the following requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant business-related field.
- MBA in Finance, Marketing, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a similar relationship management role.
- Fluency in Mandarin and the ability to communicate effectively with Chinese-speaking clients.
- Strong financial analysis and relationship management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Good understanding of banking regulations, compliance requirements, and risk management principles.
