About Rafiki-SDO
Rafiki Social Development Organization is a Tanzanian non-governmental, non-profit organization established in January 2005 and registered under the NGO Act of 2002 (Registration No. 00NGO/R1/00226). The organization works with children, youth, families, and vulnerable communities to promote rights-based development, reduce poverty, and address social injustice.

1. Program Manager – Mwalimu Kwanza, Elimu Bora Project
Duty Station: Geita / Shinyanga Region
Reporting to: Executive Director

Job Purpose
The Program Manager will provide overall leadership and strategic oversight for the implementation of the teacher motivation project. The role ensures effective planning, coordination, execution, monitoring, and reporting of all project activities in line with organizational and donor requirements.
Key Responsibilities
The Program Manager will be responsible for:
- Leading planning, implementation, and monitoring of project activities according to approved work plans and budgets
- Providing technical guidance to project teams to ensure quality service delivery
- Coordinating with local government authorities, schools, and partners to strengthen implementation
- Integrating gender equality, inclusion, and safeguarding across all project activities
- Preparing timely and high-quality narrative and financial reports
- Monitoring performance indicators and ensuring adaptive project management
- Supporting capacity building for teachers, school leaders, and community stakeholders
- Representing Rafiki-SDO in meetings, forums, and stakeholder engagements
- Ensuring compliance with donor and organizational policies
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in education, social sciences, public administration, or related field
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in project management, preferably in education or community development
- Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience managing donor-funded projects
- Knowledge of gender equality, safeguarding, and inclusive programming
- Strong report writing and communication skills
2. Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Officer – Mwalimu Kwanza, Elimu Bora Project
Duty Station: Geita / Shinyanga Region
Reporting to: Program Manager

Job Purpose
The M&E Officer will lead the design and implementation of the Monitoring, Evaluation, Research, and Learning (MERL) system for the project. The role ensures accurate data collection, analysis, reporting, and learning to support evidence-based decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
The M&E Officer will:
- Develop and implement M&E plans, tools, and frameworks
- Support data collection, verification, and validation at field level
- Maintain databases and ensure data quality and integrity
- Analyze data and prepare reports, dashboards, and insights
- Ensure data is disaggregated by gender, age, and vulnerability status
- Support preparation of donor and internal reports
- Train staff on M&E systems and tools
- Document best practices, lessons learned, and success stories
- Ensure compliance with data protection and ethical standards
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in statistics, monitoring & evaluation, social sciences, or related field
- At least 3 years of experience in M&E, preferably in NGO or education programs
- Strong skills in data analysis tools such as Excel, SPSS, or similar software
- Experience in digital data collection systems is an added advantage
- Knowledge of gender-sensitive and inclusive data systems
- Strong analytical and reporting skills
