Job Summary
The Electrical Engineer will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of the company’s manufacturing plant by maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving electrical systems and equipment. The successful candidate will support production efficiency by minimizing downtime, enhancing system reliability, and ensuring compliance with electrical safety standards.
This position is ideal for a technically skilled engineer who is proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of working in a fast-paced industrial setting.
Key Responsibilities
The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for a wide range of technical and operational duties, including:
- Designing, developing, and maintaining electrical systems and components within the manufacturing plant
- Conducting routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and timely repairs of electrical equipment
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical faults to reduce production downtime
- Ensuring all electrical installations comply with safety standards and regulatory requirements
- Supporting and maintaining automation systems, including PLCs and control panels
- Working closely with production and maintenance teams to improve operational efficiency and system reliability
- Preparing technical reports, maintenance records, and system documentation
- Assisting in the installation, testing, and commissioning of new machinery and equipment
- Monitoring energy consumption and recommending strategies for cost reduction and efficiency improvement
Qualifications & Requirements
Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Proven experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, control panels, and automation
- PLC experience will be considered an added advantage
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics
- Good knowledge of electrical safety standards and regulations
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Preferred Skills
The following skills will be an added advantage:
- Experience with industrial automation systems
- Knowledge of SCADA systems
- Hands-on experience with both high-voltage and low-voltage systems
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
