1. Finance Coordinator Job Opportunity (April 2026)

🧾 Job Overview

Kafika House is seeking a highly organized, analytical, and dependable Finance Coordinator to support the Chief Finance Officer in managing day-to-day financial operations. The role focuses on ensuring accurate reporting, strong internal controls, and compliance with both donor and statutory requirements.


Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Reporting

  • Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Coordinate month-end and year-end close processes
  • Reconcile key accounts including bank, payables, receivables, and payroll
  • Review journal entries, accruals, and adjustments
  • Maintain accurate accounting records and finance systems

2. Donor & Grant Financial Management

  • Track restricted and unrestricted funds across grants
  • Ensure compliance with donor budgets and reporting requirements
  • Prepare donor financial reports for CFO review
  • Monitor expenditures and analyse budget variances
  • Identify financial risks and provide insights for decision-making

3. Facility Financial Oversight

  • Support supervision of Facility Administrator
  • Oversee petty cash, stores, fleet costs, and payment requisitions
  • Review inventory and internal control systems
  • Recommend improvements to strengthen accountability

4. Operational Support

  • Strengthen financial discipline across the organization
  • Support audits and implementation of recommendations
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
  • Experience in NGO or donor-funded environments preferred
  • Strong knowledge of financial controls and reporting
  • Understanding of Tanzanian statutory compliance is an advantage

Technical Skills
