Job Summary
The Finance Data Clerk is responsible for organizing, transferring, and properly filing financial and administrative documents from the current office to a new office location in a systematic and secure manner. The role requires strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and the ability to maintain accurate records for organizational accountability.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
The selected candidates will be expected to perform the following duties:
- Sort and arrange financial and administrative files in chronological order, from the oldest to the newest.
- Transfer and organize files from the current office building to the new office/TEC location in a structured manner.
- Identify documents older than 2010 and recommend them for disposal (trashing) after official approval.
- Collect and properly file all unfiled or loose documents.
- Label and organize all files systematically and ensure proper indexing.
- Maintain copies of all transaction references for record verification and audit purposes.
- Handle sensitive financial and organizational information with strict confidentiality at all times.
Required Qualifications and Skills
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Minimum of secondary education with experience in record keeping or clerical work.
- Basic computer skills, including typing and printing.
- Ability to read and write fluently in both English and Swahili.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
