Position Summary
The General Manager – Hospitality and Tours Operations will provide both strategic leadership and operational oversight for the lodge, tours, and transport business units. The role is focused on:
- Driving business growth and revenue performance
- Enhancing guest experience and service quality
- Managing transport, car hire, and fleet operations
- Strengthening market presence locally and internationally
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be expected to:
- Lead overall lodge, tours, and transport operations
- Develop and execute business development, sales, and marketing strategies
- Identify new markets and partnership opportunities in tourism and hospitality
- Oversee safari bookings, logistics, and vehicle fleet management
- Ensure effective management, maintenance, and profitability of company vehicles
- Build and maintain relationships with clients, agents, and partners
- Drive sales growth and brand visibility in domestic and international markets
- Maintain high standards of customer service and guest satisfaction
- Supervise departmental managers and staff performance
- Prepare budgets, reports, and strategic performance updates
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies
Qualifications and Experience
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management, Hospitality, Tourism, Business Administration, or related field
- Postgraduate qualification is an added advantage
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in hospitality or tourism industry
- At least 5 years in a General Manager or Assistant General Manager role
- Strong experience in tours operations, fleet management, and car hire services
- Proven track record in business growth and revenue generation
- Strong knowledge of hospitality market trends and customer behaviour
- Excellent computer and business management system skills
