1. Obstetrician Gynaecologist – Liwale, Lindi
Job Overview
MSF is seeking a skilled Obstetrician Gynaecologist to provide specialized reproductive healthcare services in Liwale, Lindi. The role focuses on improving maternal and neonatal outcomes through high-quality clinical care and adherence to MSF and Tanzanian medical standards.
Main Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
- Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynaecological care, including diagnosis, treatment, and prevention
- Manage complicated pregnancies, deliveries, and gynaecological emergencies
- Ensure implementation of MSF clinical protocols and quality standards
- Participate in 24/7 emergency on-call services
- Conduct C-section audits and promote rational medical practices
- Lead maternal death reviews and patient safety investigations
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to improve healthcare delivery
- Train and mentor medical staff including doctors, clinical officers, and midwives
- Maintain accurate patient records and monitor key health indicators
Qualifications and Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Gynecology (essential)
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Obstetrics and Gynecology
- Previous NGO/MSF experience is an added advantage
- Computer literacy (Word, Excel)
- Fluency in English and Swahili
Salary and Benefits
- Monthly salary: TZS 4,250,000 (non-negotiable)
- 2% seniority increment after 12 months, increasing annually

2. Admin Transit – Dar es Salaam
Job Overview
MSF is also recruiting an Admin Transit officer to manage staff movements and administrative processes related to travel, visas, and logistics. This role is based in Dar es Salaam and plays a critical part in ensuring smooth coordination of MSF operations.
Main Responsibilities
- Manage visas, flights, and travel arrangements for international staff
- Coordinate staff movements and administrative formalities
- Liaise with external stakeholders such as immigration authorities and airlines
- Handle transit logistics including accommodation, transport, and per diems
- Maintain accurate administrative records and documentation
- Supervise administrative and support staff
- Ensure compliance with Tanzanian immigration and labor regulations
- Monitor and optimize guesthouse operations
- Provide reports on compliance and operational challenges
Qualifications and Requirements
- University Degree in Administration or related field
- At least 1 year of experience in administration or related work
- Computer literacy (Word, Excel, internet)
- Fluency in English (local language is an added advantage)
