Key Duties and Responsibilities
Successful candidates will be responsible for a wide range of plumbing and water system maintenance tasks, including:
- Repairing all detected water leakages
- Installing customer water meters
- Participating in rehabilitation of water supply systems
- Monitoring and reporting unauthorized water connections
- Identifying and addressing water losses and distribution faults
- Disconnecting and reconnecting water services for customers based on payment status
- Maintaining accurate records of water connections, disconnections, and reconnections
- Preparing tools and materials for repairs and installations
- Ensuring proper alignment during pipe installation, repair, and maintenance
- Repairing water pipe bursts effectively
- Inspecting and maintaining manholes, including securing and fixing crampons
- Operating sewerage machines and equipment according to guidelines
- Collecting sewerage data and reporting faults
- Monitoring sewer connections and recommending corrective measures
- Performing any other related duties as assigned by a supervisor
Qualifications and Requirements
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Holder of a Form IV Certificate
- Possession of Trade Test Grade II / Level II / NVA / VC II / NTA Level 4 and 5
- Specialization in Plumbing or Plumbing and Pipe Fitting from a recognized institution
