1. Transfer Driver Vacancy – Arusha

Job Type: Full-Time

Position Overview

The Transfer Driver plays an essential role in ensuring a smooth and professional travel experience for guests. As the first point of contact upon arrival, the driver is responsible for providing safe transportation, maintaining high hospitality standards, and ensuring that all transfers run efficiently.

This role requires strong customer service skills, safe driving practices, and attention to detail when preparing vehicles and coordinating transfers.

Key Responsibilities

Logistics and Planning

  • Collect guest itineraries and transfer schedules from the Operations Department.
  • Attend daily operational briefings before assignments.
  • Coordinate transfer logistics to ensure timely service.

Vehicle Preparation

  • Ensure the assigned vehicle is clean, fully serviced, and guest-ready.
  • Prepare the vehicle with essential guest amenities such as:
    • Face towels
    • Bottled drinking water
    • Internet/Wi-Fi access
    • Torch/flashlight

Guest Arrival and Departure Services

  • Confirm accurate pick-up locations including airports or airstrips.
  • Verify the number of arriving or departing guests.
  • Display clear name boards while receiving guests.

Guest Hospitality

  • Welcome guests warmly and professionally.
  • Provide important travel information about upcoming transfers or pickups.
  • Deliver company gifts or letters to guests when required.
  • Report guest requests or issues such as lost luggage to the operations team.

Administrative Duties

  • Properly manage operational imprests and return them on time.
  • Maintain accurate documentation for all transfer activities.

Required Qualifications

Education

  • Minimum Form Four (O-Level) Certificate

Certifications

  • Driving course certificate from the National Institute of Transport (NIT)
  • PSV (Public Service Vehicle) Certificate

Driving License

  • Valid PSV Driving License

Work Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of experience driving PSV vehicles.

Age and Location

  • Applicants should be between 30 and 40 years old.
  • Must be based in or very familiar with Arusha.

Position Overview

Asilia Africa is also seeking a highly experienced Relief Safari Guide to deliver exceptional wildlife experiences to guests visiting Tanzania’s most famous safari destinations. The successful candidate will provide professional guiding services, share deep knowledge about wildlife and ecosystems, and assist in camp operations when required.

Core Responsibilities

Guiding and Guest Experience

  • Lead engaging and educational safari drives.
  • Provide world-class guiding experiences tailored to guest interests.
  • Ensure safety and comfort throughout safari activities.

Operational Flexibility

  • Drive available safari vehicles depending on operational needs.
  • Adapt to different camps and guiding assignments when required.

Knowledge Sharing

  • Educate guests about wildlife, ecosystems, conservation efforts, and local cultures.
  • Promote awareness of Tanzania’s natural heritage.

Vehicle Management

  • Conduct safety inspections before each safari drive.

Safety and Emergency Response

Required Qualifications and Skills

Professional Experience

Regional Expertise

  • Tarangire National Park
  • Ngorongoro Conservation Area
  • Lake Manyara National Park
  • Southern Tanzania safari regions

Language Requirements

  • Fluent in English
  • Ability to speak at least one additional foreign language

Preferred Languages

  • Spanish

Driving Requirements

  • Valid Class C Driving License
  • Excellent off-road driving skills
