Position Overview
Sava-Tech Financial Services is seeking a motivated and dynamic Sales Officer to join their team in Dar es Salaam. The Sales Officer will be responsible for driving revenue growth by marketing and selling Sava-Tech’s financial products and services, acquiring new ambassadors, maintaining strong client relationships, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales Support & Execution
- Identify, contact, and onboard new ambassadors through field visits, referrals, cold calling, networking events, and digital platforms.
- Develop and implement structured sales plans to achieve monthly and annual targets.
- Maintain a strong sales pipeline and update lead statuses regularly.
- Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and ambassador segments.
- Promote brand awareness and professionally represent the company.
- Keep accurate records of customer interactions and sales activities in CRM tools.
2. Market & Product Knowledge
- Gain an in-depth understanding of Sava-Tech’s products and services.
- Collect customer feedback and share insights with sales and marketing teams.
3. Customer Relationship Building
- Provide prompt and professional responses to ambassador inquiries and complaints.
- Build long-term relationships to improve ambassador retention and satisfaction.
- Serve as the primary contact between ambassadors and the company.
4. Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure all sales activities comply with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and ethical standards.
- Maintain confidentiality of ambassador information and adhere to KYC and AML guidelines.
- Avoid misrepresentation of products or misleading sales practices.
5. Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales activity reports.
- Maintain accurate records in CRM systems and physical files.
- Participate in sales meetings, training sessions, and performance reviews.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Commerce, or related fields.
Experience:
- 1–2 years in sales, marketing, or customer service.
- Experience in financial services, microfinance, or mobile money is an added advantage.
- Fresh graduates with strong sales aptitude are encouraged to apply.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills in Kiswahili and English.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with CRM systems is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Customer service orientation, problem-solving skills, time management, and organizational skills.
Working Conditions
- Frequent field visits and ambassador interactions.
- Collaboration with Sales, Marketing, and Credit teams to achieve business objectives.
