Mzumbe University, in collaboration with development partners and supporting organizations, has officially announced 15 internship opportunities aimed at empowering recent graduates with practical skills and professional experience. The internship program is designed to help young professionals gain hands-on exposure in logistics and supply chain management, while contributing to real operational activities within different regions of Tanzania.

Overview of the Internship Program
The internship program is structured to equip graduates with practical workplace experience in logistics and supply chain operations. Interns will participate in various operational activities, allowing them to apply the knowledge they gained during their academic studies.
Selected interns will assist in tasks such as:
- Supporting field logistics operations
- Managing and analyzing operational data
- Assisting with procurement procedures
- Coordinating supply chain activities
- Maintaining accurate documentation and reports
- Supporting administrative and operational processes in assigned regions
Through these responsibilities, interns will develop valuable technical and organizational skills, which are essential for careers in logistics, procurement, and supply chain management.
Internship Locations and Duration
Successful applicants will be deployed in several regions of Tanzania where operational activities are conducted. The duty stations include:
- Arusha
- Kilimanjaro
- Mbeya
- Songwe
Interns will report to the Internship Coordinators from the host organizations and will receive guidance throughout the internship period.
The internship will run for three months, starting from 1 April 2026. During this period, interns will gain exposure to real working environments and learn how supply chain systems operate in professional organizations.
Required Qualifications
Applicants interested in this internship opportunity must meet the following requirements:
- Must be a recent graduate, preferably from the 2024 or 2025 graduating class
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in one of the following or related fields:
- Procurement and Logistics
- Supply Chain Management
- Health Systems Management
- Must have a minimum GPA of 3.5
- Applicants must be 27 years old or younger
- PSPTB registration will be considered an added advantage
- Female applicants are strongly encouraged to apply
