1. Group Business Director – Vacancy Announcement
SAG invites applications for the role of Group Business Director, a senior leadership position responsible for driving business growth, managing client relationships, and supporting the Group CEO and COO in shaping the strategic direction of the Group.
Role Summary:
The Group Business Director will lead sector strategy, business development, and commercial management across key industries. Key responsibilities include:
- Sector Strategy and Leadership: Define and execute strategic initiatives for key sectors.
- Business Development and Growth: Identify opportunities and drive revenue growth.
- Client and Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and partners.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams to align goals and execute initiatives.
- Financial and Performance Management: Oversee budgets, KPIs, and commercial performance.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3-countries business experience in Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, South Africa, or any Sub-Saharan country.
- At least 7 years of senior experience in business development or sector leadership.
- Strong networks in at least two sectors such as: Telecom & Banking, FMCG & Retail, Sports Media & Gaming, Government, NGOs & Donors, Energy & Mining, SMEs, Startups & Investors.
- Proven ability to grow revenue and manage key accounts.
- Strong digital literacy and ability to leverage technology for business growth.
