Job Summary

The Compliance Officer plays a central role in ensuring that Azam TV operates in line with all compliance, legal, and regulatory frameworks. This includes monitoring and supporting the implementation of the Integrated Management System (IMS), which covers Quality, Occupational Health & Safety, and Environmental Management Systems.

The role requires a candidate who can monitor compliance performance, manage documentation and reporting, address non-conformities, and ensure corrective actions are implemented. The Compliance Officer will also work closely with internal teams and external regulatory bodies such as OSHA, TBS, NEMC, Fire and Rescue, and municipal authorities.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be expected to carry out the following duties:

  • Monitor the implementation and continuous improvement of the Integrated Management System (IMS), including Quality, Occupational Health & Safety, and Environmental Management Systems.
  • Conduct risk-based assessments on QMS, OHSMS, EMS, and related programmes, and recommend, implement, and monitor appropriate control measures.
  • Ensure accurate documentation, record keeping, and reporting of IMS performance, non-conformities, and corrective actions across all operational areas.
  • Follow up on internal and external audit findings and customer complaints to ensure timely closure and sustained compliance.
  • Track the implementation of findings from external auditors, inspectors, or regulators and report progress to the Compliance Manager.
  • Coordinate and deliver employee training and awareness programmes on compliance, safety, and data protection requirements.
  • Coordinate and follow up on the renewal of legal certificates, licences, and registrations (e.g., OSHA, TBS, Fire, NEMC), including timely submission of statutory reports and regulatory documentation.
  • Organise and coordinate the OHSE committee to ensure the implementation of all internal Occupational Health, Safety, and Environmental requirements and programmes.
  • Ensure the availability and maintenance of safety and fire appliances in all working areas.

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in one of the following fields:
    Environmental Health, Occupational Safety Sciences, Food Science, Law, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in compliance management, auditing, or risk management.
  • Practical experience with Quality, Occupational Health & Safety, and Environmental management.
  • Strong working knowledge of compliance requirements and experience engaging with local regulatory authorities such as TBS, OSHA, Fire and Rescue, NEMC, and Municipal Authorities.
