Job Description
Onfon Microfinance is seeking male Debt Collectors who will be responsible for following up on overdue accounts and ensuring the timely recovery of outstanding payments. The successful candidates will play a key role in supporting the institution’s financial stability through effective debt collection strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Contact customers with overdue payments through phone calls and field visits.
- Follow up with clients and negotiate suitable payment arrangements.
- Recover outstanding debts in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of collections and customer interactions.
- Prepare and submit daily and weekly collection reports.
- Work closely with the finance and credit teams to achieve collection targets.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Male applicants only.
- Minimum of a Diploma or Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Previous experience in debt collection or customer service will be an added advantage.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet set targets.
- Honest, disciplined, and result-driven personality.
- Fluency in Kiswahili is required; English is an added advantage.
