1. Relationship Manager – Personal Banking

Job Summary

The Relationship Manager – Personal Banking will be responsible for promoting sustainable financial solutions to individuals and group schemes, while building strong customer relationships that contribute to the economic development of the nation.

Duties and Responsibilities

Manage the end-to-end process of acquisition and relationship management of group schemes
Work closely with branches to develop and maintain a strong pipeline of potential companies
Act as the main contact and liaison for companies within the assigned portfolio
Coordinate sales and marketing activities for portfolio companies
Serve as the escalation point for sales-related issues and ensure timely resolution
Ensure proper vetting of acquired companies through Credit Risk processes
Communicate product offerings and requirements to branch personal banking teams
Manage product and proposition briefs for assigned branches
Drive product penetration and sales proposition achievement within acquired companies
Maintain excellent business relationships and high customer satisfaction
Ensure seamless customer service from origination to fulfilment

Candidate Qualifications and Skills

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or a related field
Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a related role
Proven experience in sales and relationship management
Strong selling, presentation, and negotiation skills
Good understanding of credit risk analysis and risk management processes
Leadership and strategic thinking abilities
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong commitment to service excellence

2. Senior Manager – Corporate Banking

Location: Dar es Salaam

Position Overview

Reporting to the Chief Commercial Banking Officer, the Senior Manager – Corporate Banking will be responsible for growing and proactively managing the Bank’s corporate credit and liabilities portfolio. The role focuses on building long-term client relationships, driving portfolio growth, and delivering tailored corporate banking solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Achieve business targets for assets, liabilities, revenue, costs, and customer numbers
Market and strengthen the Akiba Commercial Bank brand and competitiveness
Develop new business opportunities and expand the corporate customer base
Ensure profitable, efficient, and sustainable growth of the corporate segment
Deliver superior customer service and optimize cross-functional synergies
Develop and execute market plans aligned with corporate customer needs
Implement commercial strategies and tactical business plans
Cross-sell the Bank’s products and services
Build and manage strong relationships with corporate clients
Ensure industry-leading onboarding and advisory services
Maintain regular contact and visit programs for key and prospective clients
Act as the primary interface between the Bank and high net-worth corporate customers
Perform any other duties as assigned by management

Required Qualifications and Experience

University Degree in Economics, Business Administration, Finance, or Marketing
Relevant experience in Corporate Banking
Strong credit analysis, documentation, and relationship management skills
In-depth knowledge of corporate banking products
Proven sales experience in a corporate banking environment
Ability to work under deadlines with strong time management skills
Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills

Added Advantage

Experience in structured trade finance, syndication, or project financing
