Job Title: Revenue Collector (Clerk) – 50 Positions
Key Responsibilities
Successful candidates will be responsible for:
- Collecting local government revenue using Electronic Revenue Collection Machines (POS).
- Ensuring all collected funds are deposited promptly into the council’s bank accounts.
- Verifying that all revenue due to the council is collected accurately and efficiently.
- Maintaining proper accounting records.
- Keeping POS machines in good working condition.
- Preparing and submitting daily revenue collection reports.
- Performing any other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Salary
Tanzanian Shillings 200,000 per month (TShs 200,000/=)
Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must have:
- Completed Form Four (O-Level) education or Certificate (Astashahada) level.
- Basic knowledge of using smartphones, as revenue collection will be done through electronic devices (POS) that operate like smartphones.
- Only applicants meeting these requirements will be considered.
Applicant Requirements
- Must be a Tanzanian citizen.
- Must have completed Form Four or Form Six education.
- Must not be currently employed in the Government.
- Must be between 18 and 45 years old.
- Must be honest, disciplined, and of good conduct,
- Must attach a detailed CV with two referees and their valid contact information.
- Must attach copies of academic certificates and a birth certificate.
- Must have a National ID (NIDA) or NIDA number, Also
- Must be ready to work in any area within Tunduma Town Council.
- Must be trustworthy in handling government funds and ensure no revenue loss.
- Must obey all rules and regulations of the Tunduma Municipal Council.
