Job Title: Driver Grade II (Dereva Daraja la II)

Key Responsibilities
Successful candidates will be responsible for:
- Inspecting vehicles before and after trips to ensure safety and functionality.
- Transporting staff and officials to various destinations for official duties.
- Performing minor vehicle maintenance and repairs.
- Maintaining a vehicle logbook (“log book”) for all journeys.
- Collecting and delivering official documents and other materials.
- Cleaning and maintaining the assigned vehicle, also
- Performing any other duties as directed by the supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements
Applicants must:
- Be Tanzanian citizens aged between 18 and 45 years.
- Hold a Certificate of Secondary Education (Form IV).
- Possess a valid Class C or E driving license.
- Have at least one year of accident-free driving experience.
- Have completed a Basic Driving Course from VETA, NIT, or another government-recognized training institution.
General Application Requirements
All applicants must:
- Be Tanzanian citizens with valid identification.
- Attach a certified copy of their birth certificate verified by a lawyer or commissioner of oaths.
- Submit a detailed CV with full contact details and at least three reliable referees.
- Certified copies of all academic certificates, including driving course certificates.
- Attach driving licenses and certificates verified by a recognized authority, and Also
- Applicants with name differences on documents must attach a Deed Poll or Affidavit for clarification.
- Retired government employees are not allowed to reapply unless officially permitted.
- Applicants who provide false information will face legal consequences.
