Job Summary
Serena Hotel Dar es Salaam is seeking a qualified Revenue Manager to maximize hotel revenue and profitability. The role focuses on strategic pricing, inventory management, market analysis, and demand forecasting to optimize occupancy rates and average daily rates (ADR).
Key Responsibilities
- Maximize total revenue across all hotel properties while balancing financial objectives.
- Oversee demand, revenue, inventory, forecasting, and opportunity analysis processes.
- Implement revenue management operations, procedures, and best practices in collaboration with the Regional Revenue Manager.
- Identify and share new revenue opportunities with the hotel commercial team.
- Enhance service levels and operational standards through strategic influence.
- Manage day-to-day yield operations and revenue distribution strategies.
- Conduct daily pick-up analysis, adjust strategies, and produce reports.
- Perform competitive benchmark studies and monitor market trends using available tools.
- Provide weekly dynamic forecasts, variances, and budget comparisons.
- Analyze and price group business strategies effectively.
- Monitor monthly hotel performance and recommend long-term strategies.
- Ensure all related systems are fully functional and up-to-date, including website booking processes.
- Conduct quarterly property performance reviews and implement strategic and tactical actions.
- Maintain best practice standards in competitor analysis, market modelling, distribution yield, inventory availability, and pricing control.
- Evaluate distribution partners and supplier contracts, including OTAs, tour operators, corporate accounts, and consortia.
- Leverage technology to improve revenue office operations efficiency.
- Provide regular updates and performance feedback to the hotel management team.
Job Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hospitality, Economics, Statistics, or any Social Science field.
- Professional Certification: Certification in Revenue Management is an added advantage.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a similar role within a 5-star international property.
