Key Responsibilities
1. Safety Compliance & Monitoring
- Ensure compliance with work permit systems and safety procedures
- Conduct regular worksite inspections and audits
- Supervise high-risk activities to maintain safety standards
2. Risk Assessment & Hazard Control
- Identify workplace hazards and conduct risk assessments
- Develop and communicate mitigation measures
- Monitor critical tasks and ensure safe execution
3. Contractor & Workforce Safety
- Train contractors on HSSE requirements and procedures
- Ensure contractors meet compliance standards and pass audits
- Promote safety awareness among employees and partners
4. Digital Safety Systems
- Support implementation of digital tools such as IZI Safety and OSCAR
- Manage digital permit systems and reporting platforms
- Record incidents, near misses, and exposures in Ramses system
5. Emergency Preparedness
- Assist in executing emergency response procedures
- Organize and participate in safety drills
- Work closely with site managers to improve readiness
6. Safety Culture Development
- Promote safety initiatives such as reward systems and innovation programs
- Support the “Zero Fatal Accident” campaign
- Conduct training sessions and share lessons learned (REX)
7. Health & Environmental Management
- Monitor employee health and workplace hygiene
- Ensure quality standards for food, water, and sanitation facilities
- Conduct industrial hygiene (IH) surveys
8. Inspection & Audit Coordination
- Plan and coordinate inspection and audit activities
- Prepare action plans and ensure timely implementation
- Monitor compliance across consignment and operational sites
Candidate Profile
To qualify for this role, candidates should meet the following requirements:
- Hold an Engineering Degree from a recognized institution
- Possess strong communication skills in English (both written and spoken)
- Be proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Demonstrate independence and ability to work with minimal supervision
