Taifa Gas is Tanzania’s largest supplier of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) and one of the key energy providers in the East African region. The company was established in 2005 as Mihan Gas and later rebranded to Taifa Gas in 2019, strengthening its mission of delivering clean, affordable, and accessible energy.
Headquartered in Dar es Salaam, Taifa Gas operates a wide network of over 20 depots and storage facilities, including Tanzania’s largest LPG terminal in Kigamboni. The company is owned by businessman Rostam Aziz and plays an important role in supporting the government’s National Clean Cooking Energy Strategy, which targets a transition of 80% of Tanzanian households to clean cooking energy by 2034.
Available Graduate Trainee Positions (Dar es Salaam)
1) Graduate Trainee – Shop Sales Driver
This role involves shop-based sales, customer service support, and delivery duties using a motorcycle where required.
2) Graduate Trainee – Shop Sales Officer
This position focuses mainly on shop sales operations, customer handling, and stock-related activities.
Key Requirements (For Both Positions)
Education
- College Certificate or Ordinary Diploma in a related field.
Skills and Competencies
- Sales knowledge and customer service skills
- Conversant with stock management
- Knowledge of MS Office (Word and Excel)
- Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing
Personal Attributes
- Ability to handle pressure and remain calm in stressful situations
- High level of discipline, trustworthy, and professional
- Must have a clean criminal record
- Positive attitude and strong work ethics
- Must be ready to work on weekends and public holidays
Additional Requirement (Shop Sales Driver Only)
- 1–2 years of experience riding a motorcycle
- Must have a relevant and valid driving licence
