These opportunities are available in the Mining Division and are suitable for qualified security professionals with the required PSIRA certification and mining security experience.
Successful candidates will play an important role in maintaining safety, access control, and security compliance across mining operations.
Available Positions
Railway Patrollers Grade B (Hourly Rate)
Division: Mining – Impala Platinum Rustenburg Mine
Number of Posts: 3
Key Responsibilities
Successful candidates will be responsible for:
- Ensuring daily operational security requirements are met.
- Conducting searches and access control procedures.
- Processing and verifying waybills.
- Performing alcohol testing where required.
- Managing security incidents and responding appropriately.
- Opening SAPS and internal incident dockets.
- Responding to security alarms.
- Ensuring compliance with the company’s disciplinary code.
- Following all company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Requirements
Applicants must possess:
- PSIRA Grade B Certificate.
- Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
- Valid driver’s licence.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of the Criminal Procedure Act.
- Ability to undergo polygraph testing.
- Ability to communicate effectively at all organisational levels.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Clean disciplinary, criminal, and credit records.
- Willingness to work extended hours.
- Alcohol testing certificate.

Smelter Gate Grade A (Hourly Rate)

- Conduct searches and access control.
- Process waybills.
- Perform alcohol testing.
- Manage security incidents.
- Ensure compliance with company disciplinary procedures.
- Follow all company Standard Operating Procedures.

- Managing access control procedures.
- Processing waybills.

- Enforcing the company’s disciplinary code.
- Ensuring compliance with all Standard Operating Procedures.
Requirements
